Hello!

I’m Emily. I believe every child deserves a place where they can learn in ways that feel right for them. With over ten years of experience as an Ontario Certified Teacher, I understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to learning.

Every child brings their own strengths, challenges, and ways of seeing the world, and their education should honour that.

The mission of Thrive Education is simple: to help every learner thrive in their educational journey, and beyond.

The Thrive Approach

Strength-Based and Neuroaffirming

We celebrate the unique ways children think, learn, and create. Every learner arrives with their own abilities, interests, and ways of making sense of the world. By focusing on strengths first, we help children build confidence, recognize their own potential, and feel capable in their learning.

Reflexive and Adaptive

Every learner’s needs are different. We listen, observe, and adjust in real time, adapting to your child’s sensory preferences, pace, and communication style. This responsive approach creates a safe, comfortable learning environment where your child can take risks, build trust, and experience meaningful growth.

Building Core Learning Skills

Beyond homework help, we strengthen the skills that help children thrive: executive functioning, emotional regulation, problem-solving, literacy foundations, and metacognitive awareness. By teaching children how they learn best, we build independence, resilience, and a lasting love of learning.
